Forearm Grips
Benefits
By using hand grips, you’ll build up strength in your forearms, which is good for increasing your punching power. Forearms are somewhat like calves, but in the arms. I say this because calves and forearms are neglected areas of the body, despite the fact that play major roles in affecting your performance. Using the hand grips can also strengthen the muscles in the hands. Strengthening the hand and wrist decreases the negative effects that you get from consistent impact of throwing thousands of punches week after week. Hand grips essentially are like weights for the hands.
Portability
The relatively small size of the hand grips means you can carry it around with you at all times, and you can use it anytime. Personally, I’m someone that hates to go even a few minutes without training, but there are obviously times when it’s impossible to do so. With the hand grips however, it’s possible to subtle workouts with hand grips at any time. For example, you could be at work or on even on public transport, and you could still exercise. No excuses!
Final Note – Are They Doing It?
Other challengers decide to progress at the same pace as everyone else, and consequently they remain on the same level as everyone else. Meanwhile, champions invest time, effort, and energy into new tools in order to get ahead of the competition. Champions are the athletes that also find creative ways to expand the limits of their abilities. If you were to ask boxers if they put sufficient time towards working their forearms, most (if not all) will tell you that they do not. However, this is your golden opportunity to gain the edge over the competition. Do what the others are not doing, to make the difference between you and the others and get the results that they will not.
